| The Board of Directors of the New York State Falconers Association would like to inform the membership that on March 3rd of this year we received a letter of resignation from the Association’s Vice President Matt Vercant. An appointment to fill this vacancy was not made in March. The intention being to meet and appoint his replacement at a later time. Matt wishes to express his regret that he had to make this decision and has committed to continuing on in the role of Editor for the Mews News. On Monday, August 25th, we received a letter of resignation from the Association’s President, Sean O’Mahony. Sean has also expressed his regret that his decision needed to be made without a sitting vice president, But voiced full confidence in the remaining leadership of the Board and other officers On August 28, the board of directors met to appoint an interim President and Vice President. The board unanimously voted to confirm Alicia Picket-Hale as interim President and Roy Loftfield as interim Vice President. Roy will continue in his role as Treasure for this period. A search for an appointee to the region 2 Directorship, that Alicia has vacated, is under way. The board would like to express our gratitude to Sean O'Mahoney and Matthew Vercant for their years of service - we look forward to their continued involvement as their time and schedules permit.
